Used Cooking Oil (UCO)
Delivering New Zealand grown RBD seeded oils direct to customer and collecting the UCO (when the oil is at its end of fry-life), is an exciting development for Pure Oil NZ. Used cooking oil collection is a new division of Pure Oil NZ. We commenced delivering frying oils to the hospitality sector in 2023. We then started collecting UCO direct from our customers’ premises.
The UCO division is allowing Pure Oil NZ to forge a path towards a carbon neutral future. We are aiming to replace liquid fuels in our manufacturing plant and our vehicle fleet by the end of 2025. We also sell UCO into the feed manufacturing and biodiesel manufacturing sectors.
Product information
- Our frying oils are high oleic rapeseed and sunflower oils and canola oil.
- All Pure Oil NZ RBD oils are GMO free
- UCO is free of tallow
- All UCO is filtered at our factory in Rolleston
- We test the UCO for free fatty acids (“FFA”)

We supply locally grown, cold-pressed and refined oils to restaurants and cafes. Once the oil has reached the end of its fry-life, we’ll collect and convert into bio-diesel.
