Pure Oil New Zealand Limited operates a commercial sized cold pressing plant situated in the Canterbury Plains near Christchurch. Most of the seed processed at the plant is owned by Pure Oil NZ although we also extract oil from seed on a contract basis for third parties. Crops that we have processed are linseed, sunflower seed and hemp. There is a minimum toll processing volume of 10 tonnes and above.

The cold pressing process extracts oil from the seed using a mechanical process (screw expelling) without adding heat or chemicals. We filter the oil in a 3-phase process with leaves, bags and cartages, creating a high quality, low FFA oil.
