ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Bio Industrial Oils
Since 2014 Pure Oil New Zealand has developed a range of adjuvants and dust suppressant for New Zealand customers. Our adjuvant is Ezi Cover Adjuvant Oil and is a top-quality wetter, sticker and anti-draft vegetable oil adjuvant. Our dust suppressant range is sold under the brand Not So Dusty and has found good traction in the hotter dusty areas of New Zealand.
Ezi Cover
Ezi Cover Adjuvant Oil is a blend of cold-pressed rapeseed oil and non-ionic surfactant, making it an environmentally friendly agricultural spray.
Application: horticulture, agriculture, weed spraying (wilding pines, gorse broom and thistle), viticulture
Benefits: efficient uptake with reduced drift, environmentally friendly, high performance in all weather, prolongs evaporation
Grade: industrial
Not So Dusty
Our dust suppressant product that provides a comprehensive dust mitigation strategy for environments where dust gets out of control.
Application: hardstand yards, building sites, unsealed roads, stockpiles, shingle
Benefits: improved air quality, workplace productivity, eco-friendly, enhanced visibility for better safety
Grade: industrial
UCO
Used New Zealand grown RBD oils collected when the oil is at its end of fry-life, cleaned and repurposed into a variety of applications.
Application: biofuel, lubricants, binders
Benefits: eco-friendly cycle, reduces landfill waste, lowers carbon footprint
Grade: industrial
Biofuel
Biofuels are renewable energy sources derived from oilseed crops
Application: boilers – used for creating steam and heat, adjuvants – for weed eradication
Benefits: renewability – liquid biofuels are derived from crop resources, energy security, waste reduction – produced from UCO
Grade: industrial
BIO INDUSTRIAL OILS
Areas of application
Environmental concerns have driven the use of vegetable oils as replacements for mineral based oils in industrial applications.
High-oleic natural oil varieties are defined as those oils with an oleic fatty acid content of 75% or higher. These oils were developed for increased stability in food products, but their stability has also proven valuable in various industrial applications. Their better thermal and oxidative stability is beneficial in several lubricant applications, including hydraulic fluids, transformer oils, and motor oils.
High oleic acid content also enhances their suitability as feedstocks for chemical modification, producing surfactants, plasticizers, and asphalt additives due to their more uniform molecular structure, leading to higher yields and fewer side products.
Bio-Bitumen
Bio-based bitumen is an alternative to traditional petroleum-based bitumen, made from renewable resources such as lignin and vegetable oils for making asphalt for roading.
Application: roading, roofing, waterproofing
Benefits: renewable source, biodegradability, improved flexibility and durability, temperature resistance
Grade: industrial
Fertilizer with vegetable oils
Seed oils are a source of essential fatty acids and other nutrients that might be beneficial to plants when formulated into fertilizer mixes.
Application: fertilizer blend – oils can be included in custom blends to add specific nutrients or to adjust properties of the mix.
Benefits: nutrient supply, soil condition – improve soil structure, pest control – oils have natural insecticidal properties
Grade: industrial
Adhesives & sealants
Bio-based industrial oils offer several advantages when used as ingredients in adhesives and sealants. These benefits include sustainability, performance and market trends for environmentally friendly products.
Application: construction, seal joints, windows, roofing, flexible packaging adhesive
Benefits: thermal stability, enhanced adhesion, improved flexibility
Grade: industrial and food grade
Bio-Lubricants
Bio-lubricants are made from natural, biodegradable products including vegetable oils. They’re used where traditional petroleum-based lubricants might be less desirable due to environmental concerns.
Application: food processing, forestry, industrial machinery, mining
Benefits: performance, environmental impact – Bio-lubricants break down more easily in the environment, renewable resource, biodegradability, non-toxic
Grade: industrial and food grade
