If you haven’t yet caught Pure Oil NZ’s feature on Rural Delivery, now’s the perfect time to learn about how we’re working hand-in-hand with local farmers to diversify their crops and make oilseed production a viable option. With over 80 growers across the South Island, we’ve transformed an underutilised oil extraction plant into New Zealand’s leading oilseed processor. Our mission is simple: to create healthy, high-quality edible oils and stock feeds while ensuring that nothing from our harvests goes to waste.

From day one, our goal has been to develop sustainable, locally grown products that benefit both Kiwi farmers and consumers. Today, that same dedication continues to guide us as we work to support growers, helping them diversify their rotations with crops like high oleic rapeseed, sunflower, and soybeans. These crops not only provide value for farmers but also help improve the soil for future harvests.

Our journey has been one of collaboration and constant learning. Thanks to the support of the Foundation for Arable Research and our own agronomy team, we’ve been able to refine our processes, improving yields and sustainability for our growers.
